Οι νικητές αναδεικνύονται μέσα από την ψηφοφορία του κοινού στην οποία φέτος συγκεντρώθηκαν, σύμφωνα με τους διοργανωτές, περισσότερες από ένα δισεκατομμύριο ψήφοι.
Οι σταρ με τις περισσότερες υποψηφιότητες ήταν οι Justin Bieber και Lady Gaga με 7 υποψηφιότητες ο καθένας, ενώ βραβεία διεκδίκησαν επίσης οι Meghan Thee Stallion, Ariana Grande, Cardi B και The Weeknd, από το χώρο της μουσικής, Cole Sprouse, Ellen Pompeo, Dan Levy και Issa Rae από την τηλεόραση και κινηματογραφικοί αστέρες όπως οι Will Smith και Charlize Theron.
